St. Michael's Church in Schwäbisch Hall by Jan Vítek

During the course, Jan Vítek will show his method of painting and drawing on a paper that is underpainted with random splashes of color inks. We will use opaque tools (acrylic markers) and semi opaque tools (Neocolor II wax crayons). We will explore the creative process and play with our fantasy.

You will create your own painting following Jan’s instructions!

Materials

You will need to bring the following materials:

  • Acrylic markers, e.g. Acrylista or Posca (you cannot use watercolor markers, they are not sufficiently opaque). I recommend Acrylista acrylic markers with 6mm chisel tip and additionally you can buy some 15mm tip markers. White and black colors are necessary + additional colors, you can buy a set.
  • Neocolor II Watersoluble Wax Pastels from Caran d’Ache (Neocolor I and most other wax or color pencils are not as opaque as we need, so Neocolor II are strongly recommended, you can buy a set of 10 or 15)
  • Easel or firm support for the paper

You don't need any papers nor inks. I will bring enough prepared papers with random splashes of ink.

Registration

Maximum capacity is 20 participants. Registration is available at www.uskpoland.pl. The workshop is fully booked now.
